Dr. Reza Jarral — Homepage Content Block

I'm a physician building
technology that cares.

I've spent my career on the gap between what health technology can do for patients and what it actually does. As a GP in London and Auckland, as a CMO scaling telehealth for millions, and now as a Harkness Fellow at Stanford I work on making great diagnosis accessible at scale.

Now Based in Palo Alto. Finishing my Harkness Fellowship research on high-performing, high-value digital health innovations. Exploring interdisciplinary clinical technology roles for what's next.

About

I've always worked at the intersection of bedside care, technology, and policy

At Stanford, I'm a Harkness Fellow and DICE Scholar leading research on how we reimagine diagnostic excellence, making sure the best clinical thinking isn't locked away in specialist centres but available wherever patients need it.

Before Stanford, I was Chief Medical Officer at CareHQ, where I helped scale New Zealand's largest primary telehealth platform to serve millions. I also served as the inaugural Clinical Director for Health Equity at the country's largest primary health organisation, overseeing the delivery of $1.4B in community care services. That work earned recognition from The Rockefeller Foundation, Acumen, and Imperial College London.

I still practise medicine, across the NHS, Health New Zealand, and sub-Saharan Africa, because every technology decision I make needs to survive contact with a real consultation room. Whether I'm advising biotech ventures, lecturing on AI, or seeing patients, the through-line is the same: bridging disciplines to close health gaps.
